I must say that this has been a new experience for me.  Previous chastity play has had me confined for about 48 hours or less, so now that we are looking, at best, at 7 or 8 days, it is an entirely new animal. I’m very sorry to hear of your plight, though I must admit to being somewhat amused. However, believe me when I say I really didn’t intend that in a mean or humiliating way.

I have some bad news, though your wife may be pleased. We are on vacation this week and will not be able to ship anything until next Monday 8/26. Further, we may not be able to produce a key that will work. The locks were always made in batches where all of the keys and locks are the same. If your lock came from the most recent batch (made in March), then we should be able to help you. We would basically have to cannibalize a lock to send you a key, so basically you’d have to order a new lock.

On a positive note, had this happened a month from now, we’d not be able to help at all. Our supplier has fallen off the face of the earth, and within the next few weeks our supply would be depleted, probably forever.

 Let us know what we can do to help!

How do I know which chastity model is best for me?

If you are considering a device for the first time, the choice that we recommend is the CB family of products. They are the easiest for most men to get on, and with the variety of rings and spacers included in a set, it is easiest to find the most comfortable fit.

If you prefer a silicon model as a first experience, Bon-4 may be worth considering because it does come with multiple rings. However, Birdlocked is the more popular model in this space, especially the Neo. Dick Cage has an advantage over Birdlocked in that if you get the ring size wrong, you can purchase a different sized ring.

Men who have a high ball sac may have difficulty with the silicon models. The width of the ring on a Birdlocked model is 30mm, and on a Dick Cage it is 35mm. If you don't have enough slack in your scrotum, it will be very difficult to get on, stay on, and wear discretely and comfortably. The width of the CB rings are only 12mm, and consequently are much easier to wear comfortably.

CB Models

The first consideration is the size of your flaccid penis. The CB-6000 will accommodate a 1 3/8" diameter and about five inches in length. CB-3000 is slightly shorter, but slightly wider than the CB6000. If either dimension are greater than that, the Curve may be the better choice. There is also the CB6000-S model, which is an inch shorter than the regular CB6000, and has been very popular since it's introduction.

Another consideration is appearance. While all models are pretty discrete under loose-fitting clothing, on most men the CB-3000 and CB-6000-S will be the one least likely to be detected. The CB-6000 is also quite discrete. The Curve does protrude out further than other models, but if you are large enough to wear this model, chances are that the bulge in your trousers has been noticed before. :-)


Comfort is another consideration, though they are all about the same once the right fit is found. Generally, people that have bought and used the CB-6000 have commented more about the comfort than the other models. Opinions vary though.

Silicon Models

Birdlocked models are all one piece, and have six models that come in a variety of colors and sizes. Since its introduction in 2010, the Neo model has been by far the most popular for two reasons primarily:

The ring design accommodates a range of 45mm to 52mm, somewhat self-adjusting.
It is designed to be more secure (i.e. more difficult to get out of) than earlier models.

Dick Cage was introduced in 2011, and does a very good job of trapping the penis to prevent escape (though none of the models are fool-proof). Initially, it was only available in clear, but is now also available in black. It offers a choice of three ring-sizes and two lengths of cage.

Bon-4 comes with multiple rings to help find a good fit. Like Dick Cage, it has a choice of short or long tubes. There is actually the "Plus" model which contains both tubes. The biggest criticism of the Bon-4 seems to be around the level of difficulty of getting the unit one, as the attachment of the ring and cage with the provided plastic strap can be very difficult to do without assistance.

Why Would a Woman Want Her Man in Chastity?

Not all women take to the idea of having her man locked up in a chastity device, at least not initially. My, oh my! How the concept of enforced chastity has changed!

Forget about that old fable of the young maiden in Merry Olde England her virtue safely locked in a chastity belt as she awaited the return of her Lord from the Crusades. Today the reality of chastity has changed drastically. This old medieval fable has undergone a rather startling evolution.                                                                   

Did you know that many more men than women are locked into chastity and chastity devices?

We know several things about female chastity belts any one of which could have a negative effect on the health of the wearer.                                                       

First, in order to be effective a female chastity belt must fit tightly in the genital and vaginal area.

Secondarily, this tight fit would prohibit the access to the female genital area that is needed to insure proper hygiene and cleaning.  

Lastly, the resultant infections and/or toxic shock syndrome would be lethal.                                                                                                                                    

Today chastity has taken a totally different turn; while there are still female chastity belts being produced, male chastity devices are by far the biggest seller. There are over 75 designers and manufacturers and 150 English language websites on the Internet to prove it.             

Today's modern stainless steel chastity belt was developed by improving upon the Florentine design by Hal Higginbottom in the late 1950s.  Since 1958 Hal produced male and female chastity belts from his workshop in Sheffield, England, under the brand name of Tollyboy. His craftsmanship was of excellent quality and his belts were considered to be the "Rolls Royce" of chastity belts.  It is Hal Higginbottom who was credited with bringing the chastity belt into the 20th Century.

However, due to demand and the increased interest in chastity, Hal had a long waiting list and his speed of production seemed slow to the eager, impatient buyer.  With the demand for chastity belts increasing others were encouraged to manufacturer belts.    The Tollyboy design was adapted in the USA by Jones and Access Denied in Germany by Neosteel.  Hal Higginbottom became very ill with respiratory problems, and passed away in  May of 1998.

Today the Tollyboy name lives on with Richard Davies (apprentice to Hal) continuing to produce the "Florentine" design, made to measure, steel chastity belts for men and women.                                                                                                 

Since the late 1990s the availability of male chastity devices is much higher.  Major Players have been Frank & Doris Miller who launched the CB-2000 in 1998. The CB-2000 was the world's first affordable polycarbonate male chastity device.  The Millers have since added the Curve, the CB 3000  and the CB 6000 to their range of plastic devices.                                                                                                  

The original Miller concept was to use the aspect of “controlled male sexuality” as a relationship enhancement, or a fidelity assurance for men whose employment has them traveling for extended periods of time. In this day of AIDS and other exotic sexually transmitted diseases that will definitely put one’s mate at ease during the man’s absence.                                                                                                 

In 1998, A.F. Miller Enterprises was the first firm to design, manufacture and distribute the modern “safe” male chastity devices.                                                      

The Miller male chastity devices are all produced using a high strength polycarbonate plastic. This is the same material that fighter jet aircraft windshields are made from. The entire line of male chastity devices from A.F. Miller is “airport safe” meaning that when used with the plastic serial numbered lock these units are undetectable by airport metal detectors.

The Miller devices are also designed to permit or insure that proper hygiene can be maintained. All Miller devices have multiple openings designed to permit proper cleaning and to allow adequate ventilation that discourages fungal or bacterial growth.

The models produced by A.F. Miller are the CB 3000, The Curve , the CB 6000, CB 6000S. These four models are each designed for a different size of the penis of the man whose sex is to be locked up. The PA5000 is the sole exception to the sizing rule; it is designed to be worn by a man with a PA piercing and is the same interior dimensions as the CB3000 and CB6000. 
                                                                
All of the A.F. Miller products are well accepted. According to the survey of male chastity belt/devices done by the website Chastity-UK, sales of the male chastity devices designed and distributed by A.F. Miller Enterprises represent over 71% of the market.

The most important thing to remember that the use of enforced or controlled male chastity works best when it is by mutual agreement of both parties involved. The man, by placing his sex in the chastity device, then locking it and giving the key to his mate is displaying the ultimate act of faith in their relationship, love of his keyholder and trust in her.  By placing control of the male’s sex under the control of his wife, lover, fiancé’ or “significant other” experience has shown that the man will tend to concentrate his sexual energy in his mate’s direction thus stabilizing and enhancing their relationship.

There are a few of the websites that advance the “married couple friendly” approach these are ... and “Kept For Her.” which is operated by John and Lisa. These sites use a more straightforward informational approach to the subject of the use of the products of A.F. Miller Enterprises for enforced male chastity, or as it is also called, “controlled male sexuality” as a “tool” for married couples “relationship enhancement”. There are also many websites that approach the subject of “enforced male chastity” from a view other than “relationship enhancement”.

There have been reports by some that the CBXXXX and Curve units are not completely “escape proof”; meaning that the man who is locked up can “escape”, i.e. get his penis out of the cage or tube and masturbate. To this end both A.F. Miller Enterprises and other manufacturers have designed accessories to eliminate this problem. Like nearly every product in this world, male chastity devices have more than their share of aftermarket accessories. There are 2 basic functions of aftermarket accessories for male chastity devices.:    
   
First: The first aftermarket accessory is to increase the security of the device and make the male chastity device truly “escape” proof. The majority of the accessories available for the A.F. Miller line of male chastity devices are designed to improve the security of the devices. The security accessories designed by A.F. Miller Enterprises are called “Points of Intrigue” and are small sections that fit between the tube and the testie ring with a series of somewhat sharp points.                                             
These pointed devices fit on the locking pin between the testies ring and the tube making  any escape attempt a painful experience. The website , “Kept For Her" is producing the KSD G-3 an accessory that fits inside the tube of the CB-6000 to make “escape difficult, if not impossible. However the most complete line of security enhancements are featured on the website Locked Up Love. The line of aftermarket security accessories available from Locked Up Love are very unique designs, with the exception of the Baltus security points, which are somewhat similar in design to the “Points of Intrigue” from A.F. Miller.    

In the mode of security improvements by other manufacturers: There are also stainless steel “add-ons”. While these may increase security; they are not airport safe. For example: Stainless steel locking pins in various lengths are available for the  CB2000, CB3000 and “Curve”. Additionally a locking stainless steel belts are available from independent suppliers for the CB2000, CB3000 and “Curve” .

Second: The last group of accessories revolves around the need for proper hygiene required for long-term wear of the chastity devices. The only vendors of Male Chastity devices answering the need for the supplies required to maintain proper hygiene are the “Kept For Her” and “Locked Up Love” websites. Both of these website sell the medical foam “Q” tip type cleaning tools and small squirt bottles for cleaning after urination.

Now back to the subject, namely enforced male chastity.                                 

The male whose sexuality is locked up in a chastity device is denied any personal sensation, orgasm or sexual release. However, if the latched man were to use a strap-on penis it would be as if he were having conventional sex with his keyholder except that he is denied any orgasm. Thus his keyholder teases him while heightening his degree of sexual frustration.  Most men enjoy this for 2 reasons:

First: The man is serving as a instrument of his key holder’s pleasure.      
Second: Sexual tension increases his testosterone level giving him a significant energy boost.

The relevance of enforced male chastity or orgasm denial to the testosterone level is borne out by the results of the reports of the 20 test subjects’ endocrine, hematological, and semen analyses that were performed by Lab Corp in Columbia, South Carolina in June of 2009. These analyses were performed as a part of the original report that petitioned the Food and Drug Administration Medical Appliance Committee to rule favorably on the acceptance of the A.F. Miller male chastity devices as  a medical appliance.

An additional side note: The extract cited below is from a research study by Dr. Liu and others regarding the effect of increased testosterone level on the male’s sexuality. Experiments on a very wide variety of species have clearly identified testosterone as the major “courtship inducer”.                                                                          
The term “Courtship” can be defined as the "work" a male is willing to do in order to gain the favor of a female. Courtship mode is induced by raising a male's testosterone levels by 50% or more through a sustained non-ejaculatory period of at least seven days.                    
Further evidence of the importance of testosterone in the male sexual response is indicated in several studies.  (The results of these studies will be covered in a separate document which be presented as a footnote at the end of this article.)                
The A.F. Miller CB and Curve units have done so well that, unlike any of the other units, there are constant problems with patent infringement and copying.     A prime example of this is that currently a manufacturer and distributor from the People’s Republic of China is selling illegal copies of the CBXXXX that are of inferior quality. Many of these devices have failed injuring the users. For your information there are currently more than 150 other designers and manufacturers of Male Chastity Devices.                                             
The only other manufacturer of Male Chastity Devices with a line of polycarbonate devices is Exobelt. The Exobelt devices so totally encase the penis and testicles that long term wear could be hazardous to the wearer’s health as the possibility or developing a fungal or bacteriological infection is increased.        It should be further noted that the Exobelt male chastity devices contain steel parts detectable by the newer airport metal detectors. There are also several manufacturers of silicone male chastity devices, such as The Birdlock. Again these devices while they encase the man’s penis tend to fit too closely to permit the degree of cleaning and ventilation required for long term wear.

Lori Lancer, owner of Lancer Enterprises, designs and produces a line of “truly secure” male chastity devices. The “secure” Lancer devices do require a piercing through the wearer’s penis. The “Lori Lancer “devices are made from surgical grade stainless steel. These units are heavy, and the locking pin requires a piercing that goes through the man’s penis.   The Lancer units are definitely not “airport safe or metal detector safe”.      

Lancer Enterprises chastity devices have several openings that allow proper cleaning and ventilation, as such they are suited to long term chastity.  Another plus side to the Lancer male chastity devices is the fact that all Lancer Enterprises units are absolutely inescapable.                                                                                 

Perhaps the biggest drawback of stainless steel units is the sheer weight of the device. Other than that, it should be noted that the “Lancer” male chastity devices are designed for long term wear and proper hygiene is possible.                                               
The factor that makes the A.F. Miller male chastity devices more comfortable is the lighter weight of the polycarbonate male chastity devices.                                 

Generally speaking all of the male chastity devices are very discrete. Loose-fitting pants are recommended, and darker colored pants tend to be even better.

Of all of the devices, the CB-6000, CB-6000s, CB-5000, CB-3000  and the PA 5000 are the most discrete.

Proper fitting of any of CB series male chastity devices is a trial and error procedure in order to get both the “testie ring” and the “spacer sizes right. Since every wearer is different, the only proven method for fitting a male chastity device is a combination of measurement and experimentation.

It should be noted that I have been a CB-6000 wearer for over 5 years. Speaking from personal experience, I found that about 2 weeks is the typical adjustment period. While it will only take a day or two to get the ring sizing correct the ring to tube spacer adjustments may take a while longer. As the latched man’s body adapts, changes to smaller sized rings and closer spacer clearances may be necessary to maintain the balance of fit and security.

While it is impossible to get a full erection when one is latched into a male chastity device nocturnal erections can occur. These can be very uncomfortable and usually occur during an erotic dream cycle. Should an erection occur and wake the wearer he can simply arise and urinate. As soon as the MCD wearer urinates erection will subside.   

To date no study has established the maximum tolerance for safe wear of a male chastity device, but, in my opinion, the device should be removed weekly for a thorough cleaning..                                                                                                                                 

While a rare few men have been able to urinate from a standing position, the average wearer of a male chastity device would be best served by dropping his slacks and underwear and sitting while he urinates.

According to those of us who are living the enforced male chastity lifestyle, while it can be sexually frustrating at times, it can also be a rewarding and romantic lifestyle that allows the “enlightened” man to focus his attention and romantic thoughts on his wife’s needs.

Let’s face it; any man will, if given the opportunity, masturbate, and this is something that will be difficult for him to part with.

Chastity works in many ways; it changes one’s mood, demeanor, and libido. Most importantly, it changes your man’s desire to please you. It is not the goal for him to do the cooking or the cleaning or the laundry, but you will find that one or more of these will happen, not routinely, but they will happen because as your partner continues to build up his sexual energy. Due to his sex being under your control he no longer has the ability to release his sexual tension as he pleases, he will divert that energy towards pleasing you.

You, the keyholder, being the only source of his sexual pleasure, will change his feelings. He will adore you, love you in a way that you desire and be eager to please you because you are, as I said, the source of his release. He will find, over a period of time, is happier and that will be because you, the wife, lover, fiancé’ or “significant other” are happier. He will love the emotional boost the two of you share.
